Life on the Couch

Well it is Friday about 24 hours after my surgery. I can consider my self lucky and fortunate. After a long anticipated finale evaluation I went into surgery yesterday at 1200pm. Everything went smoothly and when I awoke I was told that I did not have my ACL reconstructed.
I did have a small tear that was causing most of the problem. My doctor was confident that I will be able to return to my active life with the left over ACL and some physical therapy. Its a good thing that I trust my doctor, I did wake up disappointed and sceptical, which will all have to wait till I see my doctor on the 12th.....Hopefully it wasn't an April fools joke and I'll be getting more surgery in a few weeks.
On the bright side I will be back to my active life before too long and the recovery time is much shorter. I can get back to climbing, hiking and training for next ski season....and hopefully burning off my pent up energy. I have one concern that will have to wait till I see the doc on the 12th....How prone is my ACL to re-injury???.....how strong is it now??

This is my ACL. Notice the rought spot on the right side, that is were it was torn.

Here is the torn piece. It is that nub next to the tool.
